SALDO: A Creative Journey Beyond the Vine

SALDO began as a single Zinfandel under The Prisoner within The Prisoner Wine Company. As senior designer and acting art director, I helped transition it into a standalone brand in the portfolio with a diverse range of wine varietals. I helped craft its modern, minimalistic visual identity, drawing inspiration from brands like Apple to create a fresh, sophisticated aesthetic that resonates with modern wine enthusiasts. This approach disrupted traditional wine branding, positioning SALDO as a pioneer in the industry. My contributions spanned from establishing typography, color guidelines, and visual consistency to creating all collateral for the winery and hospitality ventures. I played a key role in launching the SALDO Wine Collective, developing magazines and pamphlets, and designing tasting room materials like menus, flyers, and tasting mats—ensuring a cohesive brand experience across every touchpoint.
